The University of Mind Goalies of the Month for November 2024
November brought incredible stories of perseverance, milestone achievements, and standout performances from our goaltenders. We're thrilled to highlight three exceptional athletes as the University of Mind Goalies of the Month for November!
1. Carter George - Owen Sound Attack (OHL)
Carter George made history this month, scoring a goalie goal! In addition to this rare and thrilling accomplishment, he earned an invitation to Team Canada’s selection camp for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship. His 3.94 GAA and .894 SV% reflect his determination and ability to deliver exciting, highlight-reel performances on the ice.
2. Gavin Betts - Kingston Frontenacs (OHL)
Gavin Betts had a memorable November, earning his first OHL win and taking home first-star honors in that game. Finishing the month with a strong 2-1-0-0 record, a 2.33 GAA, and an impressive .940 SV%, Gavin’s confidence and poise in the crease are propelling him into the spotlight as a rising star in the league.
3. Jakub Dobeš - Laval Rocket (AHL)
Jakub Dobeš demonstrated resilience and determination after overcoming a lower-body injury earlier in the season. With a 3-3-1-0 record, a 2.69 GAA, and a .897 SV% in November, Jakub showcased his ability to bounce back and deliver strong performances, helping the Laval Rocket in critical moments.
