The University of Mind Goalies of the Month for October 2024
We're thrilled to recognize our October University of Mind Goalies of the Month! These three outstanding goaltenders have made an incredible impact on their teams this month, showing resilience, skill, and the mindset needed to excel under pressure.
1. Joey Costanzo - Windsor Spitfires (OHL)
Joey Costanzo has been a powerhouse this October, finishing with a 7-1-0-0 record, a 1.625 GAA, and a .940 SV%. Twice named the OHL Goalie of the Week, Joey currently leads the league in wins, boasts the lowest GAA, and ranks 2nd in SV%. His consistency and poise between the pipes have anchored the Windsor Spitfires and set him apart as one of the OHL’s top netminders.
2. Joshua Fleming - Acadie-Bathurst Titan (QMJHL)
Joshua Fleming has put up an impressive 6-3-0-0 record with a 2.50 GAA and a .918 SV%, tying for 1st in wins and ranking in the top five for both GAA and SV% in the QMJHL. His technical skills and mental toughness have been key to Acadie-Bathurst’s success this month, proving he’s a formidable presence on the ice.
3. Jake Pilon - Kelowna Rockets (WHL)
Jake Pilon had an outstanding October, recording a 4-0-0-1 record, a 2.55 GAA, and a .918 SV%, including his first WHL shutout. Jake’s composed performance and skill under pressure have been vital to Kelowna’s early season success.
